Three ways to speak
/tts: say one thing
Type the command with your message and Mimiq joins your voice channel and says it. It can also attach the audio as an MP3 to the text channel, or do both at once, so people who aren't in VC still hear it.
Auto-read: speak typed replies automatically
Flip on auto-read and eligible messages typed in the voice channel's text chat are spoken aloud while Mimiq is connected. No command, no friction. You type, the channel hears you in your chosen voice.
/setvoice: your default voice in this server
Everyone picks their own default from the server's voice library (built-in voices or custom clones) so each person sounds like themselves every time they speak.
More than a speaker
Add translate_to and your message is translated into
any of 25 languages before it's spoken. Clone a voice with /clone from a short clip and use it in TTS. And admins
keep control: per-channel and per-role permissions, message length caps, rate limits, and
optional AI moderation that screens messages before they're said out loud. Owners and people with Manage Server pass role restrictions; channel rules, moderation and usage limits still apply.

Is Mimiq really free?
Free includes unlimited monthly TTS and typed-message translation, 3 custom voices and 60 caption minutes each month. Server permissions, moderation, message-length limits and any admin-set rate limits still apply.
Does it speak in the voice channel or post a file?
Both, your choice. /tts can play through the voice channel, attach an MP3 to the text channel, or do both at once. Server admins can also lock the playback mode for the whole server.
Can it read my messages automatically?
Yes. With auto-read enabled, eligible messages typed in a voice channel's text chat are spoken aloud while Mimiq is connected, no command needed. Server permissions, moderation and personal opt-outs still apply. Great for people who can't or don't want to use a mic.
What do the voices sound like?
Choose a built-in voice or a custom voice from your server’s library. Servers get a set of defaults, and you can add custom voices by cloning one with /clone from a short audio clip.
Can it speak other languages?
Yes. Add translate_to to any /tts message and Mimiq translates it into one of 25 languages before speaking. The channel hears the translation, and the original text is shown underneath.
Do listeners need to install anything?
No. Mimiq speaks through the voice channel like any other participant, so everyone hears it with zero setup. Only the person who adds the bot needs Manage Server permission.
